BIOGRAPHY

Hi! I'm Jorge. I started my journey in this industry by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. Over the years, I worked on numerous projects, including Castle, Unealia, Afterwords, and my Final Thesis Project: The Physics Game. My thesis document is consulted by hundreds of people every year who want to learn how to develop a game with a strong scientific foundation for education and UX.

Additionally, during my degree I worked with various programming languages such as C++, C#, JavaScript, and Java, along with game engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot. I also learned 3D modeling, texturing, and rigging, which I still love to do in my spare time. Thanks to this knowledge, I have a solid grasp of all aspects of game development, which helps me as a game designer. It improves my rapid prototyping and testing skills, enhances communication and collaboration with different departments, and allows me to write accurate game design documents.

In 2024, I joined the amazing mentoring program from King and THU, where I also won a ticket to attend the THU main event thanks to one of my presentations. There, I had the opportunity to meet developers from all over the world. To this day, I am still part of the program and continue to learn from mentors from companies like King, Blizzard, and Ubisoft. This program is making me improve as a professional and as a person.

If you're looking for a game designer with a strong technical background who loves connecting and creating things that people love, get in touch! I'd be happy to chat about anything you need.

We created Afterwords. A puzzle narrative-driven game where you have to explore your memories, collect meaninful words from conversations and combine them to create a password that allows you to advance. I was part of the team as a game designer and 3D artist. I was co-responsible for creating the game's mechanics, designing the levels, and creating the 3D assets. I also worked closely with the team to ensure that the game was fun, engaging, and visually appealing.

The Physics Game, is a game about teaching students physics concepts in a fun and engaging way. I designed, programmed, and created the UI for the game. I did a research to understand the best approach to teach physics concepts to students and how they learn. Drove testing and feedback sessions to ensure the game was a smooth experience and had a positive impact on the students learning.
